At least twelve China Airlines passengers were injured Saturday when their flight encountered heavy turbulence while en route to Denpasar from Taiwan. The Boeing 747-400 plane, carrying 339 passengers, dropped unexpectedly between while flying at 35,000 feet above the Philippines, Kompas.com reported. According to Ngurah Rai Airport Comm. Liu. Col. Pnb Umar Faturrohman, the airplane landed safely at Ngurah Rai Airport at 2 p.m. local time. Twenty-nine passengers were taken to Denpasar hospital upon landing, ten of whom sustained serious injuries to their arms and legs |
